Flotation diagram

Flotation can be used as a pre-treatment in the purification process, for biological purification, for example, but is often also used as the only step in the purification process. The diagram shows the most commonly used set-up. This is referred to as dissolved air flotation (DAF). Air is dissolved in water under pressure (5-7 bar)
